I bought three of these players for our triplets 5th Birthday. I took the model DVD7377 because it was cheap (especially important X 3!), And could play Divx from an SD or USB source. My triplets tend to scratch their DVD, which was a big thing for me. I need a replacement for the DVD player in the car, which broke. In this way, I could hear arguments play DVDs on what they wanted, when each had its own unity.
My wife and I have a lot of research before buying this unit. We have in general had a better chance of survival of Sony products for DVD, but Sony does not have a unit that can Divx, and they came to our budget of birthday money anyway.
I must admit it was a lot to play for a movie in a format that it was happy with the conversion. This is not as easy as putting a movie on an iPod. Now I leave you in a great mystery: Convert AVI to a specific size of 480×240, or C
